Our Love Story – Ani & [Merissa] Ani and I met the modern way—on Hinge—but from the very beginning, it felt like something timeless was unfolding. I remember seeing her profile and thinking, “This girl is super cute and probably way out of my league.” Meanwhile, Ani’s first thought was, “This human is hot AND vegan—score.” Safe to say, sparks flew. For our first date, we visited the Barn Sanctuary in Chelsea, Michigan. We're both vegan and animal lovers, so spending time with rescued animals while learning about their stories felt like the most perfect, meaningful beginning. It was gentle and grounding—just like Ani. I think I truly knew she was the one during our first trip together to New York City. Being in my favorite place with this incredible person made everything feel brand new in the best way. Ani later told me she had her moment in Chicago on New Year’s Eve, over vegan pizza. Somehow, that feels just right. Ani is the kindest soul I’ve ever met. She welcomes everyone with open arms and an open heart. Though she’s a bit shy at first, once she warms up, her laugh will absolutely light up the room. Her smile is infectious. And the sound of her voice? That’s home. When it came time to propose, I went back and forth on the “how,” wanting it to be just right. We were planning a trip to Milwaukee to visit Ani’s best friend Stacey, and I knew it could be the perfect moment. I originally planned to propose at a gazebo in a nearby park, but the weather had other plans. With Stacey’s help, we pivoted—and I’m so glad we did. We walked into Stacey’s apartment to find flower petals and LED candles lining a soft, glowing path—LANY's "nobody else" playing in the background. It led to the balcony, where I got down on one knee and asked the love of my life to spend forever with me. The custom Heidi Gibson ring I proposed to her with was more than a piece of jewelry—it was a reflection of Ani herself: unique, brilliant, and breathtaking.

I’ve followed your page since I was in college and knew it’s always what I wanted. He proposed last night with the most beautiful oval gatsby ring I’ve ever seen in my entire life. I've been following your Instagram for a couple of years now. I've always admired all of your beautiful designs and dreamt of one day, having something you designed on my finger. So naturally, I would "subtly" drop hints about "this one designer on Instagram" to my (now fiancee) in hopes that one day, I could have one. Now I can finally say I do!!! Not only is the cut, bezel, sunburst, etc. everything I've ever wanted and more, I can't believe he chose a design with PINK SAPPHIRES in the band!! My jaw dropped when I noticed them. I've never even thought to ask for a detail like this so I was completely surprised, but I am a pink lover through and through and to have such a small but meaningful detail, I just feel so lucky. ☺ I cannot thank you enough for bringing such a beautiful ring to life, and I just wanted to share some photos with you. Tommy and I have been dating for a little over four years, and we’ve known we are each other’s forever person since day one. I told Tommy two years or so into dating that I wanted a Heidi Gibson ring and he had full autonomy to choose which because they are all gorgeous! I also asked for a total surprise engagement, and boy was I surprised! I did not know Tommy had a ring until he asked me to stand up after sitting down to watch the sunrise, cliff-side on the beautiful island of Kauai. My fiancé (OMG!!) proposed to me on our 8th anniversary with the ring of my dreams! I fell in love with your designs years ago after seeing someone else’s HG ring, so once Alex and I started talking about marriage, I let him know that I had been dreaming of having an HG ring for years and that I wanted a ring unique to me that could become a family heirloom to pass down to our future children. Although we talked about getting married over the years, he knew that I felt strongly about finishing my doctoral program before taking the next step in our relationship. A few months after getting my degree, he finally asked me to send him the details for the ring I wanted. But, I was so indecisive because I truly LOVE so many of your designs. Ultimately, I designed four different rings that I knew I’d love, gave him the details, and told him to choose the one he wanted me to have. Let me just say, ALEX CHOSE WELL! I am absolutely in love with my ring!! Opal is a sentimental stone to me for several reasons, and I can’t help but smile every time I look at my ring and am reminded of how much this stone and our relationship means to me. I love the way the opal changes color depending on the lighting and love that the white sapphires provide extra sparkle without overpowering the beauty of the opal. I didn’t plan it this way, but my ring ended up being delivered on the same date my husband and I met back in 2007! It was a beautiful way to celebrate that anniversary. The ring is so beautiful, I can’t get over the sparkle and great craftsmanship! The pink sapphires are the perfect addition that make it seem so much more personal to me. My partner and I started dating at the beginning of 2020, just as I was starting my career as a wedding photographer. I fell in love with Heidi's designs since the very beginning, and we had always talked about getting engaged in Italy. This year our magical engagement trip happened!! Immediately after our flights were booked, Pawan reached out to Heidi to start designing the ring right away -- six months ahead of the trip! She was super responsive, and helpful with any questions he had and provided thoughtful suggestions -- he really wanted to get a pink center stone as I love the color of morganite. However, Heidi suggested that sapphire would be more durable long term, and suggested some vendors where he could source the stone. Ultimately, he found the perfect pink diamond for the original Gatsby design, designing the most "me" ring possible! On our trip to Florence, our hotel had the best rooftop view of the Duomo, and while sipping on a couple of Aperol spritzes, we reminisced about when we first met and talked about our mutual love of travel, and that five years later, we were in this incredible city together. We had the whole rooftop to ourselves, and in the intimate and quiet space, he popped the question and I said yes! Initially I didn't even realize the stone wasn't a morganite! We sat down and he walked me through his whole ring design process and we were both in awe of the stunning sparkle and color of this beautiful pink diamond ring. Everyone who's seen this ring since is also mesmerized by the unique design and beauty of this ring. Brocco & I will be celebrating our 12th anniversary this year. After meeting on the first day of college, I knew he'd be the one. Over the years, we've endured long distance plus a pandemic, relocating and buying a house, adopting our pup - Sally, and we finally felt it was time to make it official. The year that I planned to propose to my now-fiancée, she dropped (many) hints to me that she was interested in Heidi’s designs. After researching the type of design she wanted, and while starting to plan the proposal, I decided to do what any good partner should do and went directly to the source. I reached out to Heidi about a more bespoke design and she got back to me the same day. Heidi was pleasant, positive, and a consummate professional throughout the whole process. When the ring arrived, I was stunned with how incredible it looked. My fiancée loved—and still loves—the ring and I often have to take a moment to look at how perfect it looks on her finger. I convinced my girlfriend that I wasn’t going to propose until after the holidays because it was too stereotypical—a little white lie that, along with a few other fibs, successfully threw her off the scent. Our Christmas Eve tradition is to visit a drive-through light show every year, and I decided this would be the perfect setting for the proposal. This year, I told her I had to work late, so she’d need to meet me at the light show without me. The plan was for her to pick me up there so I could jump in her car and drive us around. She suggested meeting at a gas station first, and I agreed. But when she called me from the gas station, I told her, “Oh, I had a rough night and completely forgot. Can you just head straight to the show?” She believed me. When she arrived at the light show and called again, asking, “Okay, I’m here. Where are you?” I replied, “I’m so scatterbrained today—I’m not there to meet you.” At this point, she started suspecting something was up. I finally said, “It was never my intention to go through the light show with you. I’m already inside, waiting for you. Just start driving, and our one daughter—(who was in the backseat)—will play a video I made for you.” As she drove through the light show with her family, she watched the video. In it, I talked about our relationship—our long, complicated journey, the dreams we’ve built all because we dared to ask ourselves the question of 'how can we get to each other'. Toward the end, I said, “I have one more question to ask you, the most important one yet.” At that moment, her car was flagged down by a light show employee. She stepped out and found me waiting by a tall, beautifully decorated Christmas tree at the center of the display. I made sure her entire family was either there in person or watching via video call. One small but meaningful detail: she had always worried about not being dressed nicely for the proposal. I secretly coordinated with her mom to bring her a nice coat, pretending her mom wanted to borrow it. So when she reached me, she had something lovely to wear for the big moment. And then, surrounded by Christmas lights and all the people who mattered most, I asked her the question.

I'm the proud recipient of one of your amazing rings that my fiancé (Anthony) proposed with in front of the Colosseum in Rome! We met on a cruise 7.5 years ago and have been together since! We were in Rome for the start of an 11 day Mediterranean cruise so to start the trip with this proposal really brought our relationship full circle. It was so amazing.
